Covert Hypnosis Techniques--What Is Covert Hypnosis?

Clinical hypnosis is the type of hypnosis that is used to cure people of phobias and headaches. Therapeutic hypnosis also can help people stop smoking and lose weight. Stage hypnosis is all about amusement, so it is not the style of hypnosis you want to learn if you are interested in the power of persuasion.

This means that if you are interested in persuading people, that covert hypnosis is the style of hypnosis that you need to study. Covert hypnosis uses language tactics and behavior techniques to alter people's decision making processes and emotions. Language patterns are only a part of the meaning behind covert hypnotic language because language patterns are not certain to work because every conversation you have with a person is not the same. So, what language patterns do is offer you communication models that you can alter for the unique social interactions that you may have with each person whom you are trying to persuade.

The behavior strategies of covert persuasion are part of what the art of persuasion refers to as "social strategy". Social strategy is an exceedingly powerful tool in the persuasion process because you are using your behavior and non verbal language to persuade other people. Part of social strategy involves the alliances you make and how you decide to use them, and social strategy also involves setting up the right social environments at the appropriate time.

So, covert persuasion integrates several distinct persuasion techniques into one fluid force. A covert persuasion trainer should not rely on language alone to persuade people because there will be times when people will not be willing to speak to you or when they will feel uncomfortable talking to you if they do not already know you. This is why it is important for a persuasion artist to create the appropriate social environment that causes people to feel comfortable talking with you.

Another reward to creating the proper social environments is that you can position yourself as an authority figure in many social systems so that people will automatically look up to you to the point where they will want to speak with you.
